Khan Bahadur Mir Yar Muhammad Khan Talpur s/o Shahzada Sarkar Mir Nabi Bux Khan Talpur was the grandson of Sher-i-Sindh Mir Sher Muhammad Khan Talpur, the last ruler of the independent Sindh. He headed the Talpurs of Mirpur Khas after the death of His Highness Mir Fateh Khan Talpur s/o Sher-i-Sindh Mir Sher Muhammad Khan Talpur. He died in 1936. He participated in the political affairs of his region and was instrumental in the political rise of Sheikh Ghulam Hussain Hidayatullah. Hidayatullah served as the Chief Minister of the Sindh before the partition of the Sub-continent and after the creation of Pakistan became its first Governor. KB Mir Yar Muhammad Khan was also the key player in sending Nawab Mir Allahdad Khan Talpur s/o Sarkar Mir Imam Bukhsh Khan Talpur to Indian Legislative Assembly. He himself preferred to stay at his village, Tando Mir Sher Muhammad Khan Talpur to deal with the local people and matters.
